When you decide to go out to a nice dinner, you want to make sure you’re going to get the food and experience to match the amount of money you’ll be spending. Capital Grille has both.
Here in Charlotte there are tons of fine dining restaurants to choose from. It’s tough to choose a place in general, and it’s even tougher to choose a place that you’re confident will meet all of your expectations.
Here are 5 reasons why Capital Grille is an all around great choice for you:
1) The Service
Let’s be honest, no matter how great the food is at a restaurant, it is the service you get there that can make or break your evening. When you first walk into Capital Grille you’re greeted by several hostesses and shown to your table. Everyone there is so relaxed and friendly, which is not an easy thing to find during weekend dinner time shifts. Typically during stressful hours you find servers and hostesses rushing to seat you and move on to their next task.
In addition the servers are all attentive and in sync with eachother. When you request something, they are there to tend to you promptly. If you have an issue, you notice them working together to fix it. Everyone makes an effort to go out of their way to make sure you’re dining experience is top notch.
Okay so now that we covered the amazing service, let’s talk about my favorite part: FOOD. Every single part of the dining experience is mouth watering.
First, Capital Grille starts you off with complimentary bread, unlike many fine dining restaurants, which comes with a few different types of bread options.
When I went,I ordered the Lobster Mac and Cheese.. need I say more? Sharing this appetizer with another person (or two) would be you’re best option. The creamy, rich cheese sauce is extremely filling, and the pieces of lobster are so good you’re just going to want to let everyone try it!
The double cut lamb rip chops and the sliced filet oscar with lump crab and bearnaise were the meals ordered, and I have nothing but positive things to say about them. Even when my plate came back as containing meat (a fault on my part for not reading the menu properly), two servers and the manager came to my aid to fix the issue. Within minutes a hot seared filet of sea bass was in front of me. I can honestly say it was the best fish and crab I’ve ever tasted.
Let’s talk about the desert.. I ordered the Capital Grille Cheesecake with a Creme Brûlée topping, a honey graham cracker crust, and mixed berries. If you’re a cheese cake fan this is the place for you. However, there are many other options to choose from for chocolate lovers, coconut lovers, and even ice cream lovers!
Two words: classic and refreshing. Try the Moscow Mule for a smooth and flavorful drink, or select your favorite wine from their impressive menu!
For every dollar you spend you get a point in the Capital Grille reward system. Benefits include winning $25 off or even a dinner for two!
It was a dark and warm atmosphere. The walls were lined with passed presidents and the tables were covered with white tablecloths to match the white ceiling. The room was full of warm conversation and mixed aroma of the chosen dishes.
Our glasses were always full and our smiles were always set.
