The Cannes Film Critique for The Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project

Come out to The Knight Gallery at Spirit Square tomorrow evening for the Cannes Film Critique for The Charlotte 48 Hour Film Project (48 HFP). By joining the Cannes Film Critique you can help send one of our local Charlotte film makers to Cannes 2018!

At the critique, Artists and filmmakers will gather to analyze and discuss The 48 Hour Film Project as a platform to increase visibility for Charlotte as a cultural center among the world’s largest film festivals.

Participating film makers will be divided up into teams. These teams will draw a genre at random and will be assigned a character’s name, a prop and a line of dialogue. They will then create a seven minute short film that is due in 48 hours. The winner from Charlotte will have their film sent to Filmapalooza, the 48 HFP’s international film festival. From there, 12-14 films from around the world are chosen to premiere at Festival de Cannes for a chance to win $5,000.
